About how we put our extensive experience to work for our students

“We seek to inspire, challenge and prepare students within the framework of a nurturing, caring ‘family’ environment."

Guiding Statements

St. John’s is widely regarded by many as one of the best international schools in Europe. In order to provide the school with a platform for coherent and dynamic development, we have drawn up clear guiding statements supported by a vision, mission and values, which we believe positively differentiates us from other international schools.

Learning that empowers, perspectives that inspire, a community that cares and excels.

Our international education is student-centred and holistic, encouraging personal excellence in Academics, Arts and Sports. We celebrate diversity and instil in our students the open-mindedness to think globally. We promote individual responsibility for life-long learning, service and achievement.

Companionship - the gentleness to befriend and strength to accompany.
Integrity - being true to ourselves, to each other, and to our world.
Respect - the appreciation of diversity amongst peoples, languages, cultures and beliefs.

Our past is as important as our future.

For more than 50 years, St. John’s has been providing a high quality aducation to expatriate and local families of the greater Brussels area. We are proud of the impact that we have had on generations of students. The school was founded in 1964 by the FCJ, and throughout the years has built its reputation for excellence on a foundation of exceptional academic programmes as well as athletics and the visual and performing arts. In 2016, the school transferred ownership to the Inspired network of schools, with over 51 sister schools right across the globe. This is an exciting step in the school's history and brings a wealth of opportunities for our students and staff to collaborate and share best practice.
