Elementary girlsSt. John's International School provides an English-language education based on Christian values, demands personal excellence and stimulates individual responsibility within a culturally diverse environment. St. John’s is also a caring environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential, prepared to think globally, with a commitment to justice and challenged to act responsibly in a consistently changing society.

St. John’s philosophy is rooted in the Christian tradition. This manifests itself in the school’s values of companionship, integrity and respect. Excellence, service and social justice are the natural outcomes of our values. We celebrate diversity, and welcome families of all faiths and nationalities into our community. The guiding principles of a St. John’s education are derived from Ignatian pedagogy. We affirm the dignity of the human person and celebrate each child as unique. Our programs enable students to practice critical thinking, self-reflection and develop their creativity.

Our students work for the common good, serve the community, care for the environment, and have a global perspective.

Our commitment to international mindedness, leadership, information technology and academic challenge ensures that students are well-equipped to succeed in an increasingly competitive and demanding world.

All of our students have access to the IBO philosophy of learning and teaching. All of our students are given the access to courses, materials and an approach to teaching which will prepare them for the full IB DP Diploma should they wish to try and if in the opinion of their teachers, they are likely to be successful. They are given the skills, knowledge, understandings and dispositions which will enable them to demonstrate personal excellence.
